Chev. is on a distinguished road
7,000 kilometers in 7 days

This summer's trip went to Alicante. I only had one week, so it would be somewhat compressed. 7,164 kilometers in 7 days. Really pleasant in every way. The only things left to do before departure was to replace the front tyre and brake pads, and to mount a 12 volt charging point on the handlebars.

All set:

The route:

A bit more detailed:

The first sleep-over not far from Hanover. The second night spent just south of Lyon. The third night, I swam at the beach in Alicante:

The weather was brilliant and the trip went smoothly. Although, some top-up was called for:

Returned northwards, through Valencia:

Broke off to westwards by Barcelona, and then north through the Pyrenees:

Last morning, just north of Hamburg:

From Hamburg I continued to Putgarden, and a 45 minute ferry ride to Rdbyhavn south in Denmark. The route on this 7-day trip has been: Home (50 kilometers north of Oslo), Gothenburg, Malm, Rdbyhan, Putgarden, Hamburg, Hannover, Frankfurt, Lyon, Perpignan. Barcelona, Alicante, Barcelona, Andorra, Toulouse, Limoges, Orleans, Paris, Reims, Mets, Verdun, Frankfurt, Cologne, Bremen, Hamburg, Putgarden, Rdbyhavn, Malm, Gothenburg, Home. I Have avoided all city centers with the exeption of Alicante and Andorra. The weather was absolutely superb, with sunny/warm weather all days. No problems of any kind. Very interesting to cross this part of Europe, through changes in geographical and cultural landscape. Also nice with the few small meetings with people along the way. Only nice experiences on this trip.

An unrelated anecdote at the end, from our visit to Ukraine earlier in the summer, a customized 'Harley' (the engine at least, is from a Dnepr):
