Just noticed that my lower triple clamp on my XTR has a crack in it.

Been feeling a bit of vibration lately and now I think i know why.

Any one replaced one and have any idea what it costs?

Only noticed because bike fell on me... :-( and when i was trying to pick it up off my knee... noticed the crack...��

Very very easy job mate to change one over. Just get a good second hand one of ebay some new bearings And off you go. It really is a basic job to do. And you don’t need to strip loads off at all. Once you have removed the front wheel and dropped the forks through. Just undo the head stock nut and just lift off the lot so you can get access to the second nut undo that and bottom yoke will just drop though and re push the new one back up and do it back up. Job done really. Ten just put forks and wheel back on. Taking your time you should do it in hour to hour and a half. Nice job to do really. Ps there is a bike on eBay black one that a lad is stripping if you email him and ask has he got that bit for sale he will remove it and list it for you. That bike has not be dropped. Or there are about 8 listed I think

That’s no good he needs the lower one 6 or 7 listed on uk site. Here is one uk ebay item number 273036829178 �35 about 60$ said he will ship worldwide. Just ask kev if the xt660x is the same as the xt660r I think they are the same. If you get stuck send one to me and I can get a price to post it over to you. Here is another one uk eBay item number 332122708021 55$. Also here is the item number of the xt660r that is being stripped uk eBay item number 192368079420. Just go,on uk eBay and put the numbers in. If you find one you want and they won’t send it over seas get it sent to me and I will get it sorted for you if I can ps just contacted the owner ofte xt660r that is being stripped he has sold te fork yokes.
