Swingarm nut replacement

Hi all,

Short question.

My bike has done 20000km and I want to regrease the swingarm, just to be sure it's all ok.

I've heard someone say the swingarm axle nut needs to be replaced when taken off. Is this true or can I re-use it?

I did a search on the forum but couldn't find an answer, sorry.

Thanks.

But why would one need to replace it?
