Hi, got problem starting when left for couple of weeks. It will only start with full throttle, plug bone dry, cranks over fine, think fuel related. Starts fine on daily basis, just not when left, your thoughts please. ...steve

Have you run anything like Redex through the system?..Tried a different fuel/grade?

I had a similar problem on my ZRX12..I put half a bottle of Redex in the tank and ran it through..cured it for me...

Hi yeah it was a recent post, but only got couple of replies, and still got problem. It starts no probs on daily basis so if contaminated fuel surelly wouldn't start at all. Just wondering if it's cold start sensor, or fuel pump not priming maybe. ......at a loss now.

thought the 'answer' was potential stale/old fuel?...

Im a believer of sticking to one fuel and like to put 'super' unleaded in my bikes and car..I dont know if it makes any difference but I like it and my rides dont moan none either.

Feel a bit guilty reading the original post.
Fitted R wheels back and front and a WR125 master cylinder and after bleeding the brake I cut the front brake light wires to join them and have the brake light working for MoT.
I'd fitted a new battery and turned the ignition on and as I was pushing the new connections together I brushed the starter button and the bike burst into life and idled away quite contentedly.
The bike has been off road for over 3yrs and the fuel in the tank was from early 2014!
Seems they're not all fuel fussy.
Mine's a 2008 Tenere.

Cheers skimmer, I know got fresh fuel in, so me thinks got to be cold start sensor or air temperature sensor so going to buy kev mod anyway which hopefully will sort it out.
