Kevs Fuel mods ?

Hi all
Does anyone know if I can add kev;s fuel mod and do the air box mod without changing the exhaust. I had all the mods done on my old XT660 but I dont want to change the exhaust on this one as I fecked my ears up permanently after a 3 day 2000 mile ride with loud aftermarket cans on. So much so I have to use ear plugs as now even the wind hurts them. Thanks for any info

If you fit a Kev mod, you can change both the original filter with a DNA stage 1 as well as fit a stage 2.

The Mod will allow you to adjust the correct A/F ratio and keep the bike from being too lean in the mixture.

Make sure you get the correct mod for the year of your bike as follows

From 2004 to 2006 included all you need is the mod itself
From 2007 onwards you also need Kevs 02 eliminator to control the cancelling effects of the 02 sensor or Lambda probe which is fitted to the left header of post 2007 production bikes

Good luck, and please PM Kev for further assistance in your purchase or any questions you might have

KEV'S mods will help as you know...the exhaust ,as you know is both heavy and restrictive, with a cat in it too i believe..

Do you want to leave the intake and exhaust stock?...tbh seems a bit pointless to put freer flowing filter(s) in with the restrictive exhaust.

The problem I have is 18 months ago I did 2000 miles in 3 days on my other xt660 with aftermarket cans on. By the 3 day I was in big trouble. Long story short my ears are now fecked the wind even does me in now after 30 mins so I have to keep quiet exhausts on and use ear plugs , and trust me it pissis me off as always have aftermarket cans. Lucky for me my fz1 and my tiger 800 one has arrow and other has akrapovic exhaust on but with the baffle in them ,they are just about ok. I am looking for a new lid to help with the noise. So was hoping to do all the mods just not change the cans. But if there is no point doing the mods without changing the cans I will, just have to leave it or put aftermarket cans on and hope my ear plugs work

Kevs mods are about smoothing the sytem out and not,as far as Im aware.out n out performance mods..

I understood the initial comments about your hearing but if your running aftermarket exhausts on two other bikes why wouldnt you on the R?..

Arrow cans,as you know sound sweet..not loud at all.Compared to my mates R,with MTC cans they are subtle..

Yes you can but dont expect a lot of performance results, the original cans are heavily restricted
