Tire advice ( fast & track riding )

Good afternoon lads!

are there some corner junkies on the XT forum who ride theirs fast on mountain roads with corners only or on track?

My XT is now running on Michelin Pilot Powers but I don't know if I like them.
they are nice for on the road but doesn't seem to handle some nice acceleration under lean angle..

I'm going to use the XT on track also so maybe some of you can give me more advice about tires?

when it comes to sportbikes I know everything about road tires, semi slicks and slicks when it comes to brands and pressure..
but this supermoto scene and especially the XT is completely new for me!

Hi
I also run pilot powers but on my sport bike. Great tyres but:

they have a very pointed profile which makes the bike lean quicker and also give you a good contact patch on the lean.

This works great if your bike has a low center of gravity but can make it twitchy if not and my XTR is very tall and top heavy.

If you want to experiment, try some more rounded profile tyres MEtzler, pr dunlop depending on what aspect of handling you want to change

I know have the pilot power on the back on the Mitas Sportforce in front.

Met some other XT riders that use their bike very hard on track and they all had problems the Michelin dual compound tires.

For sportbikes they work fine but on supermoto's it gives lots of sliding..

Will try a new set of Mitas Sportforce after this one and maybe get a pair of semi slicks just for the track!
