For forks sake!

Hi guys, I've recently completed a tour of Morocco and Spain and whist throughly enjoying my 660z I'm craving some better suspension, I've tried the search functions but I can't find the exact details. So my question is can I take the forks from a wr250 and upgrade the springs then straight swap them or is more work required? I've seen the OTR forks which look fantastic but the price is very high! Thanks in advance

A real sport fork sounds good, but it is a lot of work. There are some easier and cheaper ways to improve the front suspension.

Better springs:

PLUS

Valves, emulaters or how ever they're called:

I have a spair pair of XT660Z forks sitting in my garage with the Hyperpro spring kit installed. They are a big improvment over the standard springs without starting to spend a crazy amount of money. I also have an unused rear Hyperpro rear spring to go with the forks if you are interested.

A WR250, 400, 425, 450 fork is quite an very easy swap, they are all the same.
And you can find them at very reasonable price.

Same goes for a WP fork. That is very doable as well, but a bit more work. Also to be found at really nice prices.

You really don't need OTR with their astronomical prices for another front-end.

New inner springs will also give you an improvement, but with a good sports suspension, front and rear, you won't recognise your Tenere anymore. Just depends what your wishes are.

Interested in the wr450 forks, do you know what triple clamp would work with them? I also understand you need to switch to a single disc so presume that a wr wheel would also fit?
