Fuel Pump Fuse Keeps Blowing

Hiya, I have an electrical fault on my 08 Tenere. It's was intermittent but is now constant. Every time I power up the ignition it blows a fuel pump fuse. I've disconnected the pump and put a multimeter across the fuse contacts to see what's going on. On power up I'm getting a 12v reading but the Amps are massive. I can't read high Ampage with my meter but there's a bright light as the fuse blows so it's obvs far to big for the circuit. I've pulled out the loom as much as I can and I can't see any obvious shorts or broken connections. I'm at a loss as to where to try next. Can anyone help? I look forward to hearing from you if you can.

Cheers Jay.
