Gr Gott from Austria

Hi,

Recently bought a 2008 XT660X in Orange, being in Austria I was tempted by KTM but put off by the reliability/servicing, so bought an orange XT instead

So far have been very happy with it, the previous owner took good care of it and had hardly used it, the only issue so far has been with the surging many seem to have. I upped the CO by 10 which seemed to make a big difference but have also since ordered a DNA stage 1 + 2 filter and an O2 optimiser from OTR, having read on here about Kevs mods I kind of regret not ordering these instead now!

I have been looking into exhausts also as I want something a bit louder than the stock, so if anyone has recommendations for the XTX I would be happy to hear them.
I seen the GPR Furore for a decent price and like the look of it but havent heard much about them on this bike, does anyone have any experience with these?

I used to have a road legal Raptor 700 with twin Looney Tuned Exhausts, and it sounded much nicer!

I am also looking at getting a PCV ordered as the DNA filters suggest this is needed before fitting them to stop the bike running too lean, so will be doing that asap also.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome.

I had looked at the MTC cans but I like the look of the GPR ones better to be honest and they are also cheaper in the colour/shape I like.
I read the 2 into 1 MTC cans are very loud and cause more heat too? Are these also designed for the XTx's?
Website appears to suggest so but I thought I read somewhere on here it was only for the Tenere?
I would have been tempted with a carbon one of these otherwise, but I dont want it to be too loud.

This site has been very helpful so far with what I have read, the technical parts are very useful to get to know the parts to address first with the bike, so thanks to everyone who contributes

Thanks for confirming, do you know how loud they are compared to the 2-2 systems?

If you know of any videos of one of these on an XTX it would be appreciated
