Unhappy 2013 XTX misfire/stalling, bad throttle response + wobbling

***DISCLAIMER: A LOT OF TEXT BUT READING IS VERY APPRECIATED <3****

Hey guys,

this is my first post here so before i talk techy stuff i'd like to introduce myself.

I'm Rob 22 years old from germany. In November 2016 I got my first motorcycle license for =<48hp so the XTX was perfect for my needs.
I bought it @12,000km and put about 4000km on it already. A few month's ago i managed to highside at about 30km/h, bike went down on the right hand side. Since then my handlebars are bent and i'm leaking some radiator fluid. Other than that there are just a few scratches on passenger pegs and exhaust.

But the main problems i experience were present before the bike went down. I start to lose trust in the bike i love because some of these issues make the ride unpredictable in some way. As a rookie (in both riding&tech) I slowly start to lose confidence in the bike.

I hope you guys can help me out.

Issues:

Misfire:
A few months ago i was riding in my local area. As I made my way back home, I stopped at a traffic light. As the light turned green i gave quite some throttle and released the clutch .

The bike made a weird clicking noise and the engine stalled
.

It felt really weird. The noise didn't sound like usual misfire but i'm quite sure it was a failed ignition in some way.

After that incident I played with the throttle a bit in neutral.
It happened again as the engine rpm went down and i twisted the throttle.

The issue occured a few more times, always when twisting the throttle relatively quick after rpm decreased. I also experience a lot of backfire.

Before the engine stalling, the throttle felt really weird, almost as described in the 2nd issue:

Throttle Response:
I think this one might be connected to the misfire/stalling.

Sometimes when i want to rev up nothing happens. I twist the throttle and there is no response from the engine at all.

The engine does not necessarily stall when this happenes. On second try its works again. Also i feel like the bikes throttle response overall has quite some delay, idk if this is normal.

I can easily reproduce this when i'm in neutral and play with the throttle.

Wobbling:
I actually thought this is quite a common issue for supermoto/enduro.
At around 140+km/h i experience what seems to be called tank slappers/speed wobbles/waving. The bike is jiggling around but when i lay down on the thank it disappears.

A friend of mine told me this is by far not normal and i need to get it checked out. I guess its a suspension issue since i'm quite heavy.

Mods:
I tried out the snorkel removal and experimented with my CO settings between 18(default) to 28. It made the ride smoother (as intended), but didn't solve the issues i mentioned.

Right now the bike is in my vendor's workshop. I'm a bit concerned that he won't find the root of the problems.

I really hope you guys can give me some advice .

Cheers,

Rob

thanks for reading this novel.

Have you searched the forum at all?..some common problems you have. Answers are here..

In the UK speedo's are in mph..I can get up to 90 mph easily enough(but why)
without any instability BUT the bikes upright riding position, big wheels, tyre patterns and suspension are limiting factors..

I weigh 14 stone and am 6'2" ..Kev's fork mod has stiffened the front end up nicely and the rear shock is set up stiffer..tyre pressures are vital too...

Yea i searched quite a lot but didnt really find a thread that felt like its referring to the issues I experience for the misfire and throttle response.

So the wobbling is nothing to worry to much about?

thanks for your reply

mine does not wobble..nor does my mates..have you checked the tyre pressures, specifically they are increased from standard to higher for a 'fully loaded' bike...the forkmod is basically two spacers that sit on top of fork springs..

Tire pressure is set up right, just checked it a couple of weeks ago at a gas station. Also went for the values for heavy load. 2,0 front 2,3 rear. Guess i'll try to tweak the suspension for this one.

Forks were not visibly damaged after I bailed (the wobbling occured before that anyway).

Tires are michelin pilot road 4 btw.
