Wow, so wish I could do this with you guys. My grandfather had the first farm on the mountain as you go up the Gydo pass in Ceres. I see you stopped to admire the view looking down. They also trekked to the Karoo with the animals in the middle of winter because of all the snow on the farm. Pretty much along the route you went. Moordenaars Karoo (Murderers Karoo) - the only people you'd get along that destitute place.
