A reprogramme will cost you nearly as much as the clocks did!
I'm on my third set of dash. First was replaced by the dealer under warranty due to fogging and that was obviously a new 0 miles part. They wanted 100 to programme my existing mileage in! Needless to say I didn't bother. The tacho needle fell of this replacement dash a couple of years later and I fitted yet another new one I got off ebay. Again, I never bothered getting it reprogrammed. All i would suggest is take photos of your old and new dash's mileages and the rest of the mileage history can be proved by referring to old MOTs. This is what I've done and I know, and can prove, exactly the mileeage the bike has done to the nearest tenth of a mile. Unless it bothers you... I wouldn't bother! |
