Throttle Cable Extension

Just have mounted Renthal Dakar High Handlebars to my Tennere. But small issue has arisen - the trothle cables are to short specialy on turning to right.

Has someone got a idea where i could get longer cables?
Could they bee used from a diferrent bike?
Or made up to mesure???

I do love the hanldebar just wide enought do not want to make them shorter. I have used them on my previous bikes and do like them

Hello Dewill_sk.

I had the same problem when i put raisers and a higher Renthal bar on my XT660R. I changed the cable routing. Instead of the cable routing in "infront" of the "triple-clamps", i changed it to run "behind" the triple-claps'. That was supposed to be an interim solution until i could have longer cables made up. Needless to say, it worked, and i never had longer cables made.

Not too sure if it can be done with an Tenere.....

If rerouting the cables doesn't work out according to this press release Venhill make bespoke cables. http://londonbikers.com/news/12275/v...-cable-service
