Can you pull a wheelie in 3rd?
I'm learning to wheelie. 1st gear (power) and 2nd (clutch) works, though I'm far from an expert.
![]() It feels that, given time, I could learn to wheelie in 2nd gear and change to 3rd, but is it possible to wheelie directly from 3rd? It feels too weak. |

Theoretically speaking, if you can get the bike stood up in first (or second), you can go through all the gears on the back wheel.
Trying to do a 'clutch wheelie' in third is probably asking a little too much of the clutch and gearbox - the bike won't thank you for it in the long term! ![]() |

I suspected as much. Thanks for the input.
I will keep at it, and invest into some crash protection. ![]() |

Well sure but you need also to invest in clutch, chain and sprockets too so er whats the point???

Sorry, meant to say, keep at training at wheelies, not using the 3rd for wheelies.
