4XLED Supermini Lights.
All fitted & working. They certainly take the strain out of concentrating on a small poorly illuminated patch in front of you wondering what the next piece of debris is going to be making another uninvited appearance out of the darkness. I've mounted them on an Adventure spec bracket & they are wired to come on with the High beam but can be turned off via an additional rocker switch. They do also help with the buffering that comes up through the fork tunnel. So 2 birds with one stone there.
Dip beam.... & the as much use as a chocolate tea pot High beam... On the 8th day God created LED's.... All in all very pleased with them. I do find that LED's do bounce back a lot of light from reflective road signs & cat's eyes you can actually blind yourself at times as do the Truck light bars we have at work. 90watt 30 inch |

There's always a nice sense of achievement in fabricating things yourself though Pepsi.
Although I mounted the lights myself with an assortment of nuts & bolts to get them where I wanted. I have to hand over the credit of wiring them in to Peter of Harland Auto Electrics. He's a keen biker to who owns a number of bikes from Laverda's to BM's, & also runs a vintage bike club in town organizing navigation meets for anyone with a bike over 30 years old. So with time constraints, limited access to electrical components & the fact his workshops round the corner from work Peter got the job or it would be an age before I got round to it myself. The power source is from the battery with an inline fuse tucked in next to it. There is a relay involved which is triggered when the High beam comes on, tapped into just behind the bulb holder up front. The switch wire runs down to the bulb holder too. & the switch itself came from the wiring loom ordered with the lights. Hope that makes sense. |
