Hub stud fitting

I was swapping some sprockets over today and when doing the rear sprocket 1 of the bolts brought a it's stud out with it, what is the correct method to reinsert the stud so it won't come out again once I've freed the bolt from it?

hi, never seen a stud come out from hub before, assume it is threaded if so I would lock two nuts together on it, apply thread lock on start of thread and tighten back in with the nuts you locked together.
