Just wondering if anyone has ever had this issue before as I cannot find any immediate broken bits or parts.

2004 XTX with power commander 3

Riding along today and I noticed the bike started surging while keeping at a steady speed at around 2500rpm, which very quickly got worse to the point where it basically kept dying as if someone was turning the kill switch on and off. At one point the bike died for a few seconds while riding before coming back.

I have done a diag test and found the error code 30, why means the bike has been dropped (it did a while ago on grass) and this was never cleared from the memory.

Anyone had this issue before or any suggestions what sensors I should be looking at?
