Pc 3 usb dead?
I have a question about installing my powercommander that was not connected in my bike.
Its a pc3 usb 412-411, i got 4 connections, 2 for in the injection module, 1 for the - battery and 1 wire to be tapped into the wire of the tps. The bike starts fine without pc, when i connect the pc it does not wanna start and does not show green lights. I bought my bike 2 weeks ago and it was not connected but i am wondering if the pc3 is the right model for xt660, the tutorial Kev posted about installing, shows to connectors for the tps that i do not have. I did send my pc to dynojet for repair, they did send it back with no explanation if they could repair it or not and they do not answer on mail anymore. Somebody experience with the pc3usb? |

There are two types of PC3 for the XT660, one easier to connect than the other (plug and play). Problems wiring them have cropped up before and are almost all covered in this old thread:

Ok, yes i got the one with a fast connector to the tps, but i could not find how to recognize if my pc3 is dead and unfixable or not.
Thx for the fast reply! |

A good start would be to connect it to the bike, download the Dynojet PC software to your laptop, connect the laptop via usb and run the bike. If the PC is receiving throttle position and crank pulse signals (showing % throttle and revs on the display) then you'll have a pretty good idea if it's dead or not.

Well thats the problem, the bike does not wanna start when the pc is connected, no green lights on the pc either.
I am gonna look if i get green lights by connecting a 9volt battery. When i connect it to laptop there is no serial number and its not comunicating with the laptop, but i suppose this is because the pc doesn't get any power. |
