Hi Guys, first post. Worryingly I can't seem to find a similar issue with the search tool.
So I broke down earlier tonight. I'm currently at a friends house about 10 miles away from where my xt660z has been abandoned for the night. So I'm not able to quickly and easily check on the bike right now
Driving through town and my engine warning light came on. About 30 to 45 seconds later the dashboard cut out. All warning lights disappeared along with the speedo and speedo lights. Engine continued to run, head lights stayed on, and my indicators worked fine as I found a safe spot and pulled over.
I turned the bike off with the key, gave it a couple of minutes whilst I had a fag, and tried to turn it back on. Dash sprung to life and the bike went through it's start up checks. Once sequence completed the engine warning started to pulse. At the time I wasn't aware of flash codes

so didn't pay it a massive a mount of attention but it appeared to be a steady rhythmic pulse with no obvious longer pauses.
Upon trying to start the engine the engine overheat light comes on. I can hear something servos or something activating under the seat but the bike isn't firing.
I didn't try to bump start the bike, so have no idea if this is possible.
Does anyone have any clue as to what could be the issue? Would it be safe to bump the bike, and if that works finish my 70 mile ride home, or should I be looking to get the bike recovered from the road side tomorrow morning?
Any help greatly appreciated.
