hi
xt660z 2011 82000 km
in the middle of the ride engine trouble warning light start flick.
so i stop and and had a look around the bike.
all looks good.
no licks. oil level fine.
so keep going. still same thing.
engine trouble warning light keep flick every now and than.. but bike gos noraml.
stop in a traffic light and when i try riding it kind of cough for a sec and made whistle noise like somthing sucking air.
so i push the shutdown button and it suhts but still the engine try start again by itself.
it stop only after i turn the kee off.
anyone have idea what is going on?

if it trying to start on it's own...
Have a look to see if the start button or solinoid
are stuck ....

additional to what Pete said I'd be thinking about an electrical short in there too.

just found a relay runing under the seat.
couldnt say where it from...very odd.
also found one thick white wire with duck tape peeling around so i insolate it again.
and so far so good.
