Like your custom 'green' bike stand. What are they doing to your wheels. New stainless spokes and rim recoated?

Headstock bearings, suspension linkage and swingarm pivot, would benefit from a grease, they don't come out of the factory with much in them.

As abigsupermoto says all those bearings need a good grease.

....................also remove the chain adjusters, they can corrode inside the swing arm and can 'drag' as you try to sdjust the chain. Remove and apply plenty of grease. See is you can get some on the exposed end inside the swing arm.
Remove the swing arm nut and move the spindle out a bit. make sure it moves cleanly.
Copperslip all of the small screws in the fairings and do not tighten them too much.

I'll try and think of more.

Cheers Steve.

I personally always use water resistant grease; it's well worth the few quid extra. Fuchs Renolit Aqua 2 is my preferred choice.

If you're going to grease the swingarm pivot and linkage then it is well worth removing the solid MPL lubricant from those bearings that have it (swingarm and one of the three in the linkage). MPL is designed to bleed oils onto the needles through use, but the problem is eventually it gives up all the oil is carries rendering it useless. It looks like a cage but isn't; they are full complement bearings so no cage is needed. Also, if you don't remove it then you can't get any normal grease in!

I've done mine twice, the first time removing the MPL. Second time apart the whole setup was in perfect nick. No wear and everything still well greased.

Ohlins did a good "walk-through" guide in four parts...

Steve, relatively quick and easy jobs doing the swing arm bearings and head bearings , basically all that's said above and use a good grease, I use a thick red grease from a good manufacturer..but it is expensive, same grease on the head bearings, you will be amazed how little is in there from new..then all back together. I'm about if you need a hand...
