Hi, My XT660X kept blowing the fuse on ECU, and wouldn't start as a result once fuse was blown. Engine swings, but doesn't start. After replacing the 10amp with 25amp in an attempt to travel the 500kms back home the fuse stopped blowing but bike wouldn't start anymore.

After some checks it seems the fuel pump & injectors is not getting power and fault is pointing towards the ECU. Engine light flashes while trying to start.

I don't have a red key for the bike. Will it be possible to get a 2nd hand ECU or new one without having to look at replacing ignition lock, immobiliser, red key, etc. There doesn't seem to be anyone able to repair ECU's in South Africa from what I can see for bikes, but some people are able to program a key. So I was hoping if i do have to replace the ECU only I can have the current ignition key reprogrammed by a locksmith who claims to be able to do so.

Please advise as I need to keep costs down. It's 2006 model from what I was told by seller, but dealer says it should be 2004(VIN:***DM014000009549). Blue, 35000km's on the clock.
