Just a thought the rear damper might knock if not pressurised correctly..

How can I test if that is the case?

I fit a new set of cush drives this weekend and gave the chain a good clean etc. I now no longer feel the hardness when going over bumps so distinctly. Must have have done something wrong the last time I took the back wheel off and fixed it this time around.

This morning I was greeted with a nice flat back wheel. London roads are filled with nails it seems. Anyway, TKC80's are an absolute nightmare to get off and on again.

Couple of things I learned today...

1. Zip tie the sprocket to the hub before removing the wheel, especially if you have the poly cush drives - they are hard to fit.

2. Buy proper tire levers. These are absolute ****e and I ruined my rim. No amount of inner tube could save them

Anyway. The actual reason for this post is, I decided to run my chain a bit looser this morning after the tube swop but after riding it a bit I get a clink sound from the gears (gear lever) goind down from third to second. Is this because of the loose chain perhaps?

I also went throught the gears while the bike was off and could only go through first, neutral, second and third and not any further. Not sure if this is normal behaviour while the bike is not running.

Ouch what a rubbish day. I do feel for you. I had a flat last year 10 miles from home. The excellent Mefos with thick sidewalls held up to let me limp home without damaging the rim.

It's very easy to mark the rims, hey we can't keep everything nice and perfect,as for flats I use slime, some people don't like it , but I have never had a problem as yet..but each to there own..
