Hello all,

I have been 'snooping' around the site for a while and used all the info to advise my boy on his first bike. He has looked at a few different models of bike cb500/R3/KTM390 but I have been pushing him down the XT route.

I test rode a 660x today and was pretty impressed with the bike, it's definitely what he wants to get.

He has the cash to buy one and before he puts a deposit on the one at the dealers I wondered if anyone has a nice 660X for sale?

He has a four grand budget but would give a little more for one with some nice mods e.g. Powecomander or keys fuelling mod/nice exhausts etc

Hi Simon and welcome to the forum.

Four grand is easily enough to get a really good XT and should give you plenty of options both privately and from dealers. I don't know of one for sale here, but there are, as I'm sure you are aware, always loads on ebay.

Well after looking at a few 660's we got one today from York.

It's blue with gold wheels, a puig wind deflector and luggage rack which are coming off and some of the worst indicators I have ever seen on a motorcycle.

On the plus side it's got a brand new set of Michelin 2ct"s fitted along with a new set of chain and sprockets and a full dealer service history. It's never been 'down the road" and is in pretty good condition

I have got some KTM indicators in the back of the garage along with a tail tidy that we will fit together onto it

I have sent a pm to a member (phantom?) who is selling some MTC pipes along with kevs fuel mod for �150 plus p+p so we will chuck those on and it should be a cracker!

They are servicing it and dropping it off next Sunday so all is good

Don't forget to post some photos when you get it, and remind your son to introduce himself here too!
