removing cap front spring

hi all, i'm nursering my 2013 xtz en since i bought it as a wreck one of the front spring adjusters was broken. so to get it all fixed i removed the springs and wondering if i can open the cap and replace it without a explosion of all kind of parts.
does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the cap with a aftermarket better/nicer one with nicer adjusters?
thnx albert

I wouldn't know how the later type adjuster comes apart as I've never had my hands on one. However, if you're looking for an alternative then how about seeing if the earlier type top nut with the recessed hex key adjuster works? Can't see any reason why it wouldn't? From the close ups of your adjuster and the way it's snapped, the earlier type looks far more robust.
