Desert Racer is on a distinguished road
Cape York on a Harley

While I was waiting for a barge back to the mainland at work today I came across an incredible story of a guy called Anthony Venczel in a Harley magazine that was laying around.
Basically he had a succession of serious blows to his head, one from being hit by a Greyhound bus, one from an altercation with a kangaroo when on his bike, one from someone reversing over his head in a car park, and another from a fall in a shopping centre resulting in complete memory loss of his last 48 years.
He used YouTube to learn how to speak & mix with people again, & with some help from a Harley dealer in the Gold Coast, managed to piece together some sort of life.
After all that & still feeling rejected by society decided to do something out the ordinary and ride a 2013 Harley Fat Boy from Brisbane to Cape York ( 2500kms of which 600 to 700 are serious dirt roads ) without any modification's even street tyres.
He also took a German backpacker with him to share the cost.

The bike is now on display at the dealer on the Gold Coast he bought it from.

It certainly put in perspective what I consider a bad day.

A bit more of the story:-
