Hmmm well it looks like the kind of part that Yamaha describe as a collar.

Collars are used in a few places around the bike and I know the radiator has collars through the mounting rubbers ... but I can't remember whether they are plastic or metal.

Have you taken anything off the bike recently ?

Have you removed or changed your screen?
Have you lost a bolt out of the screen?
It looks to me like a collar that sits in the hole in your screen that the mounting screw goes through.

I'm pretty sure It's one of the 3 collars that mount the radiator cover.

It can sure be from the radiator but take a look under the seat where the tank is bolted, under there you have 2 collars on top of the front fasteners on to the airbox to. There are collars under the bolts that holds the two side covers (under the seat) as well, the left one also has one on the lower bolt. Now i'm talking about XTR and XT not sure about XTZ.

You can also find them holding up the upper front mudguard.
