DNA Filterinsert/ lid

Hello! And as the topic says i am thinking of fitting the DNA stage 2 filter were the lid is in the stock bike, my question now is, how tightly the DNA filter ... how is the fit of the filter in the insert ....? grateful for all the answers.

All the best & ride safe!

The DNA stage 2 top cover holds the filter down nice and tight. It is actually more rigid than the stock top/snorkel assembly.

Thank you for the answer, so there is no chance for dirt and dust to enter inside the air filter can type ... / Just as the lid is not there anymore ...'really interested in fittig the DNA filter on my XTR, should you use some fitting grease or something first like when you mount a KN filter...?

I have looked at the DNA's website, but it says nothing about mounting paste or like a similar ... just mount it if I got it right....

Sorry, I was talking about the stage 2 for the Tenere which is different. The stage 2 side cover on the XTR fits in a similar way to the stage 3 side cover on the Ten. A small pot of grease is supplied to coat the seal. You should not have a problem with dust getting past the cover seal. From the factory the airbox cover seals are not that great and benefit from some rubber or silicone grease anyway.

If you add one of these, then you can clamp the filter cover down even more securely...
