Greetings from Estonia!

Hello.

I finally did it, got myself a gravel/light offroad bike! !!!

I have driven last 5 years with GSX1400 and now i have finally got myself off from pavement. I decided to go for XT660R for its great combo of light offroad and road manners. GF got herself her own bike(Hornet) and now i dont need heavy bike to 2 up touring.

But i still will be doing roadtrips up to 120km/h(300-400km) and i think/hope XTR is good for that.

Bike i bought is bone stock 2004, 16k km ODO and seems like its real. I convinced seller to let the bike examined at moto repair shop before final deal and shop owner said bike in very good condition.

for 2600EUR i think its great price.

Still have original chain on and seems that never took a fall lol(that will change soon im afraid )

I have been reading up on bike here too. Most likely i will soon go for 2in1 exhaust to get more ground clearance and lighter bike. Though bike felt very light compared to my GSX. Also bar risers and some wider footpegs(any tips are most welcome)

As for exhaust, i really like how 2in1 akra oval carbon looks, but buying it for half the cost of bike seems bit odd atm. I email MotoMule and Creptuz about their options as well. Ideal would be some used akra hehe.

I hope it will be good bike to learn some gnarly stuff and be a everyday commuter at same time.

I hope to learn a lot from here and meet some great pals!

Hello & Wecome Mate, That's a tidy looking XT you picked up there.
I can recommend Pivot Pegz as I've fitted these to my Tenere. Pricey but worth it. SW-Motech are another popular choice for a foot peg upgrade.
Happy riding.
