Question What kind of INNER TUBE use?

Hi.

i need to replace front inner tube, searching a lo i find TOO MUCH TUBES TYPES!! Normal, Heave Duty, Ultra Heavy Duty, natural rubber, mix rubber, sinthetic rubber, valve type, weight...

Reading a little i found that the NATURAL RUBBER are better than the sinthetic and more expensive, also find that the HEAVY DUTY and ULTRA HEAVY DUTY are ONLY for offroad use (because when you are at high speed the inner tube produces some vibration)... so, what kind of inner tube i choose? and what brand are good?

Thanks a lot!

yip...like he said...any 4mm heavy duty tube for replacement and you're good to go,.....they do indeed resist pinching more than the standard paper thin offerings that most factories give as standard issue...(well you do have to save a few pennies here and there for important investors etc in the world wide aspect of things?)

I did run Heavy Duty tubes for a while, but now Im running standard tubes. For mostly road and occasional offroad, normal tubes will do and HD tubes wont save you from flatties either, as I found out in CZ!

I use whatever tubes i can get my hands on, running 2x ebay cheapo kings tubes for the last 9months and only had 1 flat after a very rough green lane trying too keep pace with a wr 450.

If its air tight itll do

I bought a number of TKC80 for a trip to Mongolia and asked the Continental dealer about inner tubes.

The recommendation for Continental was to stick with standard inner tubes for road/offroad use. They only recommended the heavy duty thicker tubes for lower speed, purely offroad use.

With that recommendation I bought standard inner tubes and rode all the way to Barnaul in Russia on Heidenau K60 Scouts and the rest of the way to Ulaan Bataar on TKC80 without a single puncture.

Make of that what you will but I think it was the right combination.

Sandman.
