agr blanket kit

hi guys, does anyone have any thoughts re the AGR blanking plate that is a supposed fix to stop the backfire and popping problem on decelaration.

It will do the job. You can either fit the plate and remove all the AIS gubbins (valve, electrics and hoses) and blank the hole in the air box, or you can fi the plate under the existing flange on the pipe to the exhaust ports and leave it all in place. The first option is probably the one to go for.

Or you could just stick a bolt in the rubber hose to the air box and sort it for free...

I bought the AGR plate, i know about the free way but i want to eliminate the AIS system at all.
So, do i need any kind of sealant between engine and AGR plate or does it comes with a gasket?

Use a copper ring if no seal ring did come with plate.

I emailed OTR.de about this and they said that it doesn't need one.
