And thank's for allowing me to be a part of the community I have again a XTX and it is a 2009, akrapovic exhausts bulldozer I'm just starting on the mods, with radiator guard ticked off more to follow Excuse my english or punctuation The K&N air filter is the one I got in the picture. Before I put it in I wanted to know if there was anything like I had to do on the DRZ remove snorkel and cut the 3x3 mod before I put it in and go get it re-mapped ??? A thousand thank you's in advance for any help I can get |

![]() ![]() if you just fit the stage 1 filter, i.e. replacing the standard one you don't need to "remap" and anyway you didn't mention if you have a power commander or not, because without the DynoJet PCIII you can't remap. And yes, removing the snorkle will help the air intake. all you have to do is adjust your CO settings following this link: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?...=Co+adjustment |

I do not have power commander but it's good to know I need one if I wanted to start serious modding on the performance. So as I see it now, putting my k&n in and removing the snorkel should be fine to do alone? And if I wanted to start seeing noticeable power increase it's then dna stage 2 and an affordable kev mod? Many thanks |

Really need some help and answers as I'm slightly not sure
I have the k&n stage 1, aftermarket exhausts. Do I need Kevs mod and dna stage 2 or just kev mod, as I don't have power commander Cheers |

If you fit a stage two DNA filter then you will need a furlough device such as the Kev Mod
|

Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is the way it goes:
Stage 1 K&N = Simple swap from stock Stage 1 K&N & Removing snorkel = As above + CO Settings mess around Stage 1 K&N & Removing snorkel & Stage 2 DNA = Buy Kev's Mod A thousand thank you's |
