Karoo 3

I see there is a topic further down here but an older one so does anyone have any further comments about the Karoo 3 tyres as I'm swithering between them and ktc 80s, though the vast majority of my riding will be on road.

karoo 3

Hi i asked the same question a month or two back. I spent hours on the internet and came up with a recurring finding that they have a tendency to slide off road but are very good grip wise on tarmac but tend to generate more road noise. In the end I plumped for TKC80s ( see my thread tourance to KTC80) in the tenere xt66oz,- tyres section.

Karoo 3

I've done 6000k's on k3's now mainly on road and gravel, they are long lasting tyres however are noisy and lumpy. In terms of grip on gravel I haven't found them confidence inspiring, the front seems to slide over gravel rather then bite. Going to try TKC 80's next time.
