This mornings commute with my new Trail Attack 2

With my untested brand new conti trail attack 2 fitted to the rear of my Ten, I made my usual jaunt to work.
I had to go for fuel to the local garage, and turned off the main road down the garage access road. As I entered the off camber bend, brand new tyre on fresh wet tarmac met a nice patch of diesel. The back end swept right around and stayed there for what seemed like eternity as I applied opposite lock.
All I can say about that episode is if the previous tyre was still fitted, I think I'd be left picking the bike up.

They are simply the best tyres for the ten... If you want to ride only on the roads.

Got 3,000 miles on my TKC70s now and they're very similar, except I can now do trails too! But not mud.

From the Conti web site:
  • TKC 70 is positioned for 60% on-road and 40% off-road use
  • Unique tread block pattern makes the TKC 70 quiet and stable on the road while still providing good off-road capability
  • Agile on streets and safe on gravel roads

Does the above mean they're only safe on gravel? From the picture they should rephrase the last bullet point to: "Agile on streets, safe on gravel and somewhat entertaining in mud"

I drive trail attack 2 front and rear, only on road and I love them. Takes corners like a sportbike...
