Sounds good. You can PM me before you come out this way next time. There's a few "good ol boys" who have a pretty fair local knowledge of this region, who are always keen for a ride

Quote:
Day One took us to Baradine via Binnaway Day Two was through The Pilliga Forest to Burren Junction. (Do not attempt to ride this area unless you are confident riding deep sand at high speed.) Day Three took us through cotton farming country to Narrabri where we explored Waa Gorge, Sawn Rock and Mount Kapatar on the way Day Four Narrabri to Nundle Day Five Nundle to home The majority of the ride was on dirt. Started out with six riders of which one retired hurt (sand) and another short cutted home. There were two KTM 990's, a Honda Dominator, a DR650, a BMW1200 GSA and my Tenere. The Tenere acquitted itself well and easily matched it with the bigger bikes. The Beemer struggled badly in the sand resulting in a badly beat up rider. Last edited by Seahorse; 17-05-15 at 10:06. |
