My last Yamaha (before the Tenere)

I loved the IT's so much I had two in a row. Jumping dunes near the southern tip of Africa.

...and it looks like you knew how to ride it too! I had a Suzuki PE175, but always thought the IT was the sexier bike.

I had a PE175 between the two IT250s. Lovely back suspension and great on hard stuff. But for sand you need grunt. The IT was lovely lots of power and light to throw around. Just after the rain the traction on the sand is great. We were lucky to have 7 miles off dunes and sand to play on

Sorry for putting a non-Yamaha picture. Laying out an enduro track in the Stellenbosch mountains. Lots of river crossings and vineyards to dodge.

What those dunes really look like

Yes thats a Yamaha MX400b, just before the first YZs. Perfect wheelie machine. And yes, thats the beach in the background.

I had a PE175Z also... good bikes in there day..

This is with out a dought the wost Yamaha I have had the
misfourtune to own... 82 TT250H..


And possably the most fun Yamaha I have owned.... 77 TY80... Dam I was only about 17 in that pic... how time flys..
