No Clutch? Help Please

Hi Folks

So the sun is out for the first time this year (UK!) so I decide to get the bike out for its first run. Got the whole day planned and disaster. As soon as I put it in gear she cuts out/jumps forward as though there is no clutch? Can't understand it she was fine when I put it away in November. I have started it regular over the winter months although never engaged a gear. Any ideas? the bike is like new only 2k miles and its an 2011.
Over the last few months I've fitted the Kev fuel mod, o2 sensor and DNA stage 2 filter and new pipes, Could this have anything to do with it? or side stand sensor? I'm kind of stuck....Thanks

My 02 YZF250 does this every season???? First few starts you have to park against a wall and drop into gear.. Also makes it very hard to kick turning over the counter shafts. Once freed up its all good but can't imagine the friction plates swelling but that's what it feels like.

Matt.

Happens if bike is laid up for a while give it a bit of revs be prepared for it to lurch forward then put in gear should be OK after that.

Running the bike a little now and again in winter isn't a great idea. As the engine isn't really getting hot ie as hot as a normal ride, it can create moisture inside. This probably caused the friction plate and metal plate to stick together.
If you are going to run it in winter then it has to get hot hot. Better yet coat it afc 50 and ride it all year!

If you can roll the bike to walking pace before putting it in gear it will save possible damage then with the clutch still pulled in increase the revs and apply the rear brake until it clears . Steve.
