first service. ..thoughts so far
The Tenere had its first service today, and after my little off and broken ribs it was a paracetamol fuelled ride to the dealers in Worthing! Riding home on the Tenere I realize how much I am enjoying this bike , and now I can start turning it into my own 'personal' steed. Trouble is I have a wish list a mile long , but time and wallet will dictate the pace of change!!. The exhaust / filter/ Kev mod is a must, but I want to do that after I have a good thousand miles on her. New rims and stainless spokes, but as the bike is brand new I may as well get some miles out of the original ones. Likewise the rear shock. ( for once in my life I'm being sensible ) I started on my Tail Tidy today, and fitted a stainless rad guard, front sprocket guard . Some Zeta handguards tomorrow and hopefully the short levers will arrive soon. Also some bar risers and foam grips . The only thing I'm not as enthused about as before are the Tourance tyres. ..they are very good but A, they tramline quite fiercely and B, they seem quite a hard compound so when they do let go it's sudden. The Avon Distanzia I had before we're so predictable they filled you with confidence!. Overall the Tenere is brilliant. ..and I love the way it enthuses me, gets me waffling on about it on this fine forum !! How nice to have a head full of 'Tenere'plans and forget about all the nonsense in life. Cheers Steve
