Hi 24Auhr,

Personally, I wouldn't risk it. Perhaps one of the more experienced members of the forum could prove me wrong but I would say 160kg plus resting on the downpipes alone could possibly end in disaster.

I went for this headstand and paddock stand combo

You'll have to remove the front mudguard to get access for the headpin and the headstand is just about big enough to lift the 21 inch front wheel of my 660R, so you should have no problem.

Don't go for the cheapest paddock stands, i brought one for 20ish and it collapsed today whilst supporting the xt.

What do you do though when you need to take off the swingarm to remove the motor ?

Personally, I'd be calling a mechanic!

In all seriousness though, I believe other forum members have used axel stands under the foot pegs. This should give you the ability to remove the swingarm.

I'd buy a bashplate rather than another stand. I have a centre stand (very nice for working around bike) but would probably just rest on exhaust, use a chock between them, cushion over them? It's not a lot of weight if spread properly.
