ccm450 adventurer
I have just been to the motorcycle show at the NEC, and had a good look at the ccm450, what a bike! Feather light and made with top quality components they have really gone to town on the weight saving front and even use a lithium battery. (I think my next battery will be one of these). After just dropping my 660 tenere for the second time at a stand still and doing the splits tearing my hamstring trying to stop it dropping. I really appreciate the lightness of this bike. The only thing I disliked was the realistic cruising speed is only 70mph. They should have made it 650cc, would i buy one? If after 12 months they have no designs flaws maybe I hope its a success they are British after all.

It's always been a dilemma , go lightweight which is great on dirt but 'twitchy' at speed on the tar, or a bit more weight, great at high speed but can be a bit more awkward on the dirt.
I loved my time on my old modied DRZ 400 E, but was starting to feel a bit more nervous venturing further afield, so upgraded to a Tenere which is a lot safer at highway speed. You just got to be honest with yourself in deciding what you want to be doing with the bike most of the time. |

Battery tender? do you mean charger? and does the bike charging system need modifying in any way.
