Replacement exhaust thoughts?

I'm looking to replace my end cans at the end of this year as my standard ones are starting to rot through on part of the welding.

I'm after a can that isn't too loud cos i'm usually leaving for work at a silly time in the morning and also do a spot of green laning.

So far i'm looking at Leo Vance x3 or arrows. but if i have a bit more money i may consider a metal mule system or maybe a OTR 2-1 system. Metal mule looks good for the money but i do have concerns about their fitting and quality control issues that have been mentioned on the forum.

My main priority is keeping the noise levels down, then the price.

Leo Vince is very loud .... lovely sound but a lot of it
I have MTC single now which despite of what you can read on internet is a bit quieter (they use non perforated baffles now)... but it still is loud.

If I were to try it all again I would try GSXR1000 can which seems to be a popular mod for DR's or get fresh oem can, plenty of those around for peanuts.

I purchased & fitted some Dominator (Polish) pipes. Cost is right, but the "DB" killers don't kill many "DB's" and they don't come with Cat's. I'm in rural Australia and the sound, although a little on the loud side, is superb. With the other mods the performance has also improved noticeably. I had no problems with the fit and suspect I shed 6-8 kg's.

Ive got a Barrett single can on mine in black. Comes with 2 different baffles. Very loud without any. But quiet with the quiet baffle.
I also made my own baffle for it so now have 4 different options for noise control on it.

If you're after quiet there are usually plenty of standard systems for sale...you could just buy a really good condition second hand standard system and de-cat it.....Steve

Any aftermarket can without a cat will be louder, some more than others though
I have Arrow cans on my Tenere and run them with the DB killers in, I find them ok, and not too loud compared to the standard one

Hello,

I have a dominator exhaust too.
I mesured 4,4kg less than original exhaust.
Very good for the price !

Only problem : more sound (Maybe hard for long distance daily usage).
