Hey chaps, since i've had my bike i've always noticed a whine like a servo sound coming from the front left of the bike when i'm in low rpm in gears 1-2-3, this happens regardless of engine temp and doesn't seem to happen when sat at idle.

my bike does pop a little so clearly the AIS is working to some degree, but i am wondering is it maybe working to much? funnily enough i've always noticed the bike will surge more when it occurs?

I'm at the point of wondering is my AIS working to much and stealing air from the engine?

SO far the only work done that could have any bearing on engine performance is a Kev mod, K&N stage 1 filter and snorkel removed.

First thing I'd try is blocking off the AIS and see if that makes any difference?
