I'm with you on that one mate. It will be hard not to jump ship if it as good a bike as the prototype pics look.

It wont be...from the talk the "wishlist" bike would be over $20K + doubt the bean counters would invest for that amount in the adventure market. Im sure their marketing/research deptartment wouldnt think sufficient sales would follow.

Still it would be a good if it happens and heaps jump ship...might be what all the oher manufacturers need to get serious about the adventure market and start listening to the consumers and this emerging demand.

Matt.

Yep I agree when u get a super bike u really don't need to do anything to it unless u want zorst and PC to ride it like a super bike or do what it's intended to do . With all adventure bikes to do what they are meant to be designed for we spend heaps doing mods that could easily be done from factory. I'm shore people wouldn't mind spending 20+k on a adventure bike if it was kitted out with good gear from factory. I think I have spent close to 20 all up with my tenere. Hopefully some fresh blood in the market will get them all producing some good machines.

Lets just wait for the new Ten before jumping. Apparently Yamaha also got ideas. But the Honda looks good. The way an Africa Twin should look like. Nostalgia jumps to mind.

For me, the only thing the tenere could improve on is its weight and perhaps longevity. I don't need more speed or torque. Give me the same bike 40kg lighter and I'ld be interested.
But that ain't gonna happen
