Modifications review so far

Hi Chaps,

Have only had bike 2 weeks but have just fitted:

-Kev fuel mod
-O2 mod
-Stage 1 filter+Stage 2 air box lid.

My findings in first 50 miles.

Firstly I'm in no way disappointed, but the bike does not feel "like a different bike" or "amazing difference" like Ive seen some members posts.
Whether the bike was better than some at a starting point or Im not good at feeling improvement Im not sure, but what I can say so far is there are small but noticeable gains in these areas:

-Throttle response improved
-fuel consumption improved
-ability to pull half a gear higher at certain revs.
-able to go along at sub 3000rpm in a highish gear and not complain.-
-keener to rev.
-feels slightly happier sitting at 80mph.

Only down side, very occasionaly bike cuts out going into a corner on closed throttle, maybe I can tweek the dial a bit or raise tick over not sure.

All in all worth doing , I'm still experimenting with dial settings , I'm at 5 o'clock at moment, will report back later on mpg which looks to be a lot better as my fuel gauge hasn't moved yet since the mods, maybe its broken!

Cheers Spyke

Hi mate,

To tackle the cutting out issue you will have to touch the revs a bit up. Should be at 1500. With this problem will be solved

Enjoy.

I have standard pipes on , because the bike is still under warranty I only want to change things that are easily reversible in case I have to claim.

How do you increase the tickover ,at the moment its 1000rpm

You will see the "throttle stopper" screw on the side of the throttle body (follow the throttle cables) on the silver throttle plate. Watch it and give the throttle a twist and you will see the plate return to the stopper screw, if you wind it in it raises the idle and out lowers it. Just make sure the bike is at operating temp before adjusting as the bike has an ECM controlled high idle when cold.

Matt.

10 minute job to change the pipes over but it does explain why your not getting the expected results, and to get the most when the warranty is up put the holes in the airbox, but to really get the best out of the bike you need a PC.
