Engine Problems in Africa

Hi friends

I am currently traveling in africa whit my 2008 Tenere 42.000km on the clock.

Today I removed the engine, becouse I have a noise inside,
possible some of crankshaft bearings.

I'm in Ethiopia and here I dont have spares parts for the bike. The quickest option is to send an used engine in airplane

The engine of my Bike its Euro3 but all the engines I've found are euro2 for yamaha Xt660R and X

Anyone know if it would be possible to mount engine Yamaha XT 660 R / X Euro2 in the Tenere Euro 3?

What differences are between the Euro2 and Euro3 engines?

Thanks in advance
