Air box mod

Yesterday I changed my rear shock spring with Hyperpro and used the opportunity to do a little mod on the air box which I was thinking of for some time.
Basically I have cut out a larger hole to allow more air in. I wanted to use the maximum of space on the top of the box.

Your mod is around where the snorkel fitted???? And have you noticed any improvement in the way the bike feels??

Yes, I have basically increased the size of the opening as alternative to drilling holes on the side of the box. I wanted to allow more air in and at the same tome to have an opening on the top of the box.
I test rode the bike immediately after I assembled it back and I think there is improvement in the feeling for power (could be just physiological) and more throaty sound. And all this with OE cans.
Hope this helps.

I went for the holes in the side of the box drill e'm as per the size and you can reverse it with rubber gromits as and when, with Akra's K+N 1 DNA 2 snorkel out and a PC it runs better than I could have ever hoped, to the point it's other things I look at to improve the bike.
