(I have no connection with Riders of the Lost Trail, just a satisfied customer)
Just got back from a few days in southern Spain where I had a couple of days with Phil at Riders of the Lost Trail. Had two great days even though I managed to pick the week that Spain (and the rest of Europe) was being battered by storms. Phil is a great host, wants you to have a great time and goes the extra mile to do that.
The bikes are mostly KTM 350 EXC and there is one 450. All new and well maintained. Phil also provides all of the other kit you will need, Klim jacket and trousers, variety of boots and helmets, knee guards, goggles etc, all top kit and everything you need.
The max group size is 7 and as Phil is the only guide you get taken care of by the boss the whole day. Its important to him you get the most out of the day. I was lucky that I booked up for mid-week and at the last minute so I was the only rider! We did about 100km on the first day, deciding to cut it short as it was throwing it down after lunch. It was just what I needed, some gentle flowing trails as it had been nearly a year since I'd been on an enduro bike.
The area is a fantastic place to ride, it has everything, great trails, beautiful scenery and being based in the same village as where the bikes are based, everything is close by. The apartment to the workshop where Phil keeps the bikes is less than 10 minutes drive down the hill from the village and after getting kitted up it's 5-10 minutes on some back roads to the trails.
There's plenty of places to eat/drink in the village, all a short walk from the accommodation.
If you fancy a few days getting dirty in the sun, give Phil a call.
