New pegs fitted

Hi just fitted new pegs from YZ (sourced from e-bay). The reason I went for YZ pegs is the better price and the solid built.
Beware the pegs do not fit straight on. Actually the OE peg mountings are narrower by 5-7 mm and I needed to grind off part to the YZ pegs in order to fit. I did also use YZ springs as the original ones do not fit and are kind of too weak. The end result - marvelous pegs for a third of the money asked by OTR, TT or SW motech.

Nice job.

Which year and model YZ did the pegs you bought originally fit??

Do you have a photo of which bit you ground down?

Many thanks,

Sandman.

Cool new pegs

hi mate,

I have tried to draw a simple scheme as I have not taken any pics during the process (just forgot). However I hope the scheme will be clear enough. Basically I did ground form both sides: the spring side around 5-7 mm and from the flat side probably 0,5 mm - just have to make the surface even.
Of course during the process you will have to measure in order to make sure it fits well.
When have finished the job, I have used the OEM pin and it fits perfect.

Regarding the YZ year, I do not know, but here is the e-bay link:

Hope this will help.

Enjoy
