Swing arm bolt removal

Afternoon all.
I've got a real doozy of a problem here. I need to service my swing arm bearings on my st660z and whilst I can undo the swing arm nut, and the bolt turns smoothly, the bolt just won't draw back through the frame. I've tried gentle persuasion but am completely out of ideas to get it out without whaling on it with a big hammer. The problem lies I feel that the bolt has worn and has a shoulder hitting up against the frame, swing arm or engine.
The swing arm has about 10mm lateral play and so the problem needs to get resolved.
If anyone can come up with a possible solution, I'd be forever grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Halgeir (The eternally frustrated)
