Hey guys! I just ordered 2 x VisionX Solstice Solo for my 2008 XTR. Anybody here have those on their bikes?
Where and how did you mount them?

Firstly... to XT660.com - First post after 3 years lurking!

Don't have an XTR myself, but do have the Vision-X Solitice (on my XTZ). There are a number of solutions for mounting additional lights on the Tenere, but the R/X seems to be a bit more of a challenge to make something work, as there's a lot of plastic covering all the possible solid mounting points round the yokes and there's no fairing subframe as on the Z.

I've always thought the best place for a solid mount would be to use the front indicator mounting holes somehow? There are a couple of options I can think of that might work...

1) Replace the indicators with the spots and use mirrors with built-in indicators.

2) Fabricate a steel bracket that clamps between the indicator stem and its mounting hole, so the indicators can stay where they are and the spots can be mounted above or below them.

3) See if something like this attached to the fork tubes would work to mount the lights on?

Remember to post some pictures of the solution you come up with.

He moved his indictaors to where his side light bulbs are and mounted his spots where pleiades suggested.
